Friends and I recently returned from a Brazil Peacock Bass Trip. I can report a fantastic fishing with A LOT of bass hooked and landed. The fish are brilliant in color and design, and fight ferociously.
This was our group’s first trip to the Amazon jungle and the Rio Negro river system for these impressive fish. It was a superb adventure in very remote, pristine country.
Our outfitter and his team took great care of us at every step along the way. Our fishing base was a faraway fly-in mobile camp of floating cabins. This is a superb setup.
The river train of cabins allows the outfitter to move into remote upper river reaches in low water conditions and allows anglers to fish unpressured water .
The accommodations, food, and staff all get very high marks. The boats were ideal.
The guides worked hard and got us into fish every day. My expectations were definitely exceeded. This is a first-rate operation.
Every one in our group caught big fish. The largest of the trip was 24 pounds. A monster! The number of fish landed, I thought, was outstanding. Call me and I’ll tell you how many!
This is a ‘must’ trip for every angler. The bass hammered woodchopper plugs and crankbaits, and also big poppers stripped with a fly rod.
Call or email me for trip details, rates, and open dates.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
