Brad Brock and I recently returned from a successful brown bear hunt on the Alaskan Peninsula. It was an early spring on the Peninsula, the only snow was high in the mountains and we enjoyed warm sunshine days. Unusual weather and conditions to say the least. We spotted Brad’s bear on the second day of the hunt. After a long stalk up a valley, Brad made a perfect shot and had his huge boar on the ground. The bear squared 10’4” and had a 28 15/16” skull!! A Boone and Crockett brown bear.
It was an incredible hunt and experience. The outfitter is, in my opinion, one of the very best I have ever hunted with in North America. I have guided all over western Canada and many Lower 48 states and quickly recognized our outfitter was first class. The hunting area was enormous privately leased land. The guides were very knowledgeable , experienced and great company. I truly cannot say enough about the outfitter, area, guides and equipment. I have hunted the Big Five in Africa and guided great trophies throughout North America but I must say that the huge bears on the Alaskan Peninsula are among the finest game animals in the world.
The area I hunted with Brad is renowned for the biggest brown bears in the world. If you would like to know more about the hunt or want to hunt these majestic bears – call me.
